GEDESC
El grupo de investigación interdisciplinar en Gestión Empresarial, Desarrollo, Sociedad y Cultura – GEDESC, es un grupo conformado por un equipo de profesores de diferentes disciplinas que tienen como objetivo desarrollar investigaciones de impacto regional, procurando soluciones integrales para los problemas identificados desde la perspectiva de la sostenibilidad. Así mismo, pretende divulgar los resultados de investigación mediante la publicación de artículos y presentación de ponencias en eventos académicos nacionales e internacionales.
El Grupo de investigación en Sistemas Socio-Ecológicos Sustentables con código COL001161620190604140 de COLCIENCIAS en categoría A1, se plantea como un grupo interdisciplinario e interinstitucional de la Universidad del Valle –Sede Palmira y la Corporación SENSE, que se centra en el estudio y ajuste de las interacciones e influencias mutuas entre la sociedad y los ecosistemas, para dinamizar la relación sociedad-naturaleza de manera que se mantenga la biodiversidad y se provean los bienes y servicios requeridos por la sociedad de forma sustentable.
El grupo de investigación es una iniciativa del cuerpo de docentes del programa de Tecnología en Electrónica de la Universidad del Valle, sedes Cartago, Caicedonia, Norte del Cauca y Yumbo teniendo como prioridad involucrar las actividades de investigación en las sedes regionales, propiciado espacios que conlleven a la generación de proyectos que permitan la interacción con la comunidad académica y el departamento del Valle del Cauca, por medio de la solución de problemas desde la innovación y el desarrollo tecnológico llevado al campo de la agricultura, la industria y la educación.
